ROFA members organised a conference in London in the autumn of 2012??? to discuss the lessons for the disability movement arising out of Jenny Morris’s Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) paper. This conference provided the impetus to form and develop ROFA as a united front organisation to tackle the onslaught on our rights by the ConDem Government. The lack of leadership and collaboration from the traditional disabled people’s organisations spurred the ROFA founding members to work together to keep the spirit of the disability movement alive.
