Call for participation in an independent living/technology research project

The big technology companies want to put ‘smart home’ sensors and voice interfaces like Amazon Alexa into every home, and social care services are looking to these technologies as an opportunity to cut costs. So what are the potential problems and potential benefits of these technologies for disabled people?

Our research project at Loughborough University is inviting pairs of disabled people and carers to study these technologies in terms of accessibility, independent living, and social care.
